"Your Wait Is Over! Key Characteristics Governing This New Era"

Hank and Brenda Kunneman
Dec 5, 2019

As 2019 comes to a close and we prepare to embrace 2020, our faith needs to be elevated to a whole new dimension. We must begin with the incredible realization that we are not just entering a new year, but a whole new decade! It's upon us, and our declaration of faith in this new decade needs to continually be, "NEW THINGS NOW!"

We want to share with you what we see God doing prophetically over the course of the next decade. It's important that we don't just focus on the year 2020 alone. We are entering a whole new decade and we believe your faith will be strengthened and your hope restored as you have this prophetic perspective in your spirit.

Let's look at some of the key things that will mark this era and decade. Not only will they be prevalent for you, but also for the Body of Christ as a whole in this nation and many nations worldwide.

Key characteristics governing this new era will include:

1. A Marked Distinction Between God's People and Those Who Walk in Darkness

Just as it was in the days when Israel was about to be delivered from Egypt, God placed a distinct difference between His people and the Egyptians. As the rod was put forth and the first two plagues manifested, Pharaoh's magicians were able to mimic them. They were able to add blood to the water and bring forth more frogs (see Exodus 7 and 😎.

Perhaps, for Moses and the people present at that time, it seemed like the power of God was not outdoing the works of darkness. However, just after the first two plagues, something shifted and the magicians could no longer match the display of God's power. In fact, they quickly conceded and had to acknowledge that what was happening was the finger of God!

"And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, 'This is the finger of God...'" (Exodus 8:18-19)

Perhaps you are looking at all that is going on in the world and it appears that evil has been drowning out the voice of moral righteousness and the efforts of God's people. Well, in this 'decade of difference,' that is about to change! This doesn't mean evil will disappear, but there will be a difference for God's people, where they will be delivered and uniquely exonerated by the power of God's hand! It will be similar to when God said He would set His people apart from the Egyptians.

"I will make a distinction between My people and your people..." (Exodus 8:23)

2. A Shift Toward Righteousness and Justice

Another key element that will mark this decade of difference will be a shift toward righteousness and justice. Certain laws will be overturned, taking a turn toward righteousness. We will begin to see famous personalities begin to take a stand for God like never before. In comparison to the last decade, we will see the name of Jesus exalted all across society, and thousands will have to acknowledge this divine move of God!

3. Things Shall Begin to Rest

We will also begin to see a rest coming to storms, chaos, and the unrest that has tried to invade this nation.

It will cause us to look back at a time when violence and protests seemed common. In this new era, it will seem as though such tragic events are few and far between. Even certain natural storms will seem spaced apart, causing us to try and remember when the last one happened.

Hearing this, you might already be thinking, "Can we really expect such a rest to happen? There is so much evil in the land!"

Think back again to Egypt during the time of Joseph. Because of the righteousness of Joesph, God brought rest to Egypt for a season. Pharaoh was a pagan ruler, but God still brought the land to rest because of a righteous man! We need to trust that God can and will do this for our nation too!

4. Restoration and Payback Are Coming

We can also expect to see restoration and payback in this new decade. That means things lost will be restored. Restoration doesn't necessarily mean replacement as you would see something specific being replaced, but we should expect that God will restore. Restoration means something will be brought to a normal, unimpaired condition. We can expect God to reconstruct areas of our lives that have suffered. We can also expect the good things across the nation that have been removed to be reestablished and restored.

We know that you are in a place where you are hungry to see an outpouring of restoration and a payback of things stolen. We need to expect this over the course of the next decade.

5. The Wait/Weight Is over!

One of the other elements God is bringing as we enter 2020 is an acceleration of His hand moving on our behalf. Many of God's people have been burdened with a tremendous amount of pressure this past decade. We have waited patiently for a fresh wind of God's Spirit to blow upon our lives and our nation. We are confident that this will be a year and a decade marked by the supernatural! We are going to see what we have been praying for!

Don't allow discouragement from the enemy to dissuade you from God's promises this year. Whether they be prophetic promises or those found in Scripture, stand firm and claim them. Command the enemy to be bound from bringing any form of hindrance to your life.

6. A Time to Steward Your Words

Lastly, our words and decrees of faith are very important during this year and decade. Be careful to avoid negative talk. Be sure to put your declarations of faith out into the atmosphere every day! This is an era where the voice of God's people needs to be paramount.

Think of the areas in your life right now where you are pressing in with your faith to see these glorious outpourings happen. Know that we're standing in faith with you and we believe that we have entered an era of something brand new!

We love you and are praying for you!
