Speaker: MING
Today, I want to share a message titled “Possess the Land as an Inheritance.” While seeking the Lord, I asked Him:
“What word do You have for our ministry and for Your people as we enter the new year?”
God led me to a powerful scripture from Deuteronomy 11:11–12, and I believe this message is for everyone—no matter where you are in the world:
“But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. It is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.”
— Deuteronomy 11:11–12
Let's begin in prayer:
Holy Spirit, we praise You. Thank you for leading us into the land of promise—a land of abundance, a land flowing with milk and honey. This is the word You gave our ministry in 2019: that we would enter into a season of richness and blessing.
We know a new season of glory is upon us. You have said that new wine must be poured into new wineskins. May we be those new wineskins—ready to receive fresh anointing and overflow with Your blessing. Let us walk in the inheritance You’ve promised, fully aligned with Your will.
We all understand that the Promised Land represents abundance and richness. The Israelites had spent forty years in Egypt and the wilderness, a time marked by lack and survival. But God had prepared something new for them: a beginning filled with promise and glory.
Entering the land of Canaan wasn’t just a geographical transition—it symbolized a new season ordained by God. It was a prophetic declaration: “A new chapter of glory is beginning.”
Today, our eyes have seen the border of our spiritual Canaan. Why? Because we know we are living in the last days. The return of the Lord is near, and the Millennial Kingdom is on the horizon. This means we are about to walk into the fulfillment of His promises—to possess the land He has prepared for us.
When we align with the purposes of God’s Kingdom, He responds with abundant provision and power. Why? Because He is committed to seeing His will accomplished through His people.
Last year, our focus was on destiny and vision—on aligning our lives fully with God’s calling. We discovered that when we walk in alignment with Heaven’s agenda, God helps us complete every assignment. In that flow, signs and wonders become natural, because miracles follow obedience.
This is true for each of us. As we step into this season where the glory of God is about to be revealed, He will bring supernatural provision. But we also have a role: to prepare ourselves—to run with Him, to follow His pace, and to move in step with His divine timing.
This is our responsibility.
This year, we've been urging everyone to prepare, because I’ve sensed something strong in the Spirit: God is accelerating His pace.
Leaders—especially those serving overseas—I encourage you to rise up. You must learn to walk in the identity God has given you: to live as generals, to walk in the example of Christ, and to demonstrate mature sonship. Only then can this divine model—aligned with God’s will—be passed on to others.
I’ve come to realize: God is not waiting for us to move anymore—He is pushing us forward. Before we even take a step, He is already moving. The days of passively waiting for God's direction are over. In this new season, He is speaking clearly and directly to His people.
This is the move of the Holy Spirit in the last days—a movement unlike any before it. It transcends generations and denominational boundaries. The Holy Spirit is raising up elite soldiers of Christ—a prepared remnant who will possess the land.
Many people don’t recognize the season we’re in. They assume they still have time. But I see it clearly: God has already begun to choose people from all over the earth, and He’s doing it in a new way. One thing I’ve observed is this: when God chooses someone, He doesn’t always give them time to hesitate.
He makes the call—and the choice to respond is ours.
We’re no longer in the era of delay. God isn’t waiting forty years for people to say yes anymore. If someone fails to respond within months, He raises up another. Why? Because in these last days, there are many God wants to use—and He is moving quickly.
As Paul exhorted Timothy:
“Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.”
— 2 Timothy 2:3–4 (NIV)
This isn’t just a poetic idea. It’s our vocation. The moment you step into the Kingdom of God, you are called to be a soldier of Christ. Whether you recognize it or not, you are already standing in the kingdom of light—and therefore, in direct confrontation with the kingdom of darkness.
So whether you like it or not, you are already standing in the kingdom of light, and you are directly confronting the kingdom of darkness. Winning people's hearts is the focus and content of this battle.
For countries, they fight to control more territories. For us, we are fighting for the hearts of the people. During history, we see that some brothers and sisters, Christians, keep fighting despite repeated failures; of course, some are victorious.
When we are called by God, it is not just to say, Lord, I love you, you love me, you give me peace, you grant me joy, help me find a job, help me find a partner, help me get an immigration visa, it is not just that.
We become children of God, and God has a plan for our lives. This plan is to make you an elite soldier of the Kingdom of God. You were asked to join the battlefield and become a soldier. We are facing a major challenge in this generation which is preparing an army for the Kingdom of God.
Prepare an army for the Kingdom of God. Otherwise, how can the Lord bring back tens of millions of overcomers and step onto the Mount of Olives at the end of Revelation?
It is exciting to enter the Book of Joshua. It turns out that I have to fight to defeat the king of this world every day. Do you understand? Because the enemy kings kill, steal, and destroy our lives.
Let’s look back at Deuteronomy chapter 11, verse 10, which says that when the Israelites were in Egypt, they were slaves. What were the characteristics of slaves?
Slaves worked hard to sow seeds, water, and cultivate the land, but all the productions were taken away by others, and all the labor went in vain.
The Israelites at that time had no property rights or land in Egypt, when they were in the wilderness, the wilderness was not the inheritance God gave to the Israelites. Only Canaan was the inheritance God gave to the Israelites.
Similarly, in our past days, we often experienced such a wilderness, as if we were slaves in Egypt. We worked hard for a long time, but there was no harvest. We served very hard, but it was stolen from us in vain. This is the situation in the land of Egypt.
In Deuteronomy 1:6-8, Moses told the Israelites that the Lord God had told them that they were now going to take possession of the promised land. However, because the older generation of Israelites did not believe in God at that time, they died in the wilderness.
Now that we understand that we have reached the boundary of the millennium kingdom, and we are about to step in to take possession of our promised land, what will be the first thing we encounter when we step in?
It is the Jordan River.
How do we prepare ourselves to inherit the land? The first thing we need to do is to become the army of Jehovah.
There is only light and darkness in the kingdom, with no middle ground. You are either captured by the enemies or you defeat the enemies; this is your only choice.
Each of us should become a member of the Lord's army. I believe that a real army has never been established in the current church system, but in the days of Moses and Joshua, an army was truly established among the Israelites. This is why in the book of Revelation; it was necessary to set apart some believers from among God’s people to form the army of Jehovah in order to fulfill the prophecies in Revelation chapters 12 and 19.
The roads in the wilderness were very familiar to the Israelites. People must be familiar with them after forty years. People just move around in tents and visit each other. Just like us, this is the church life of many people. Churchgoers are very familiar with the normal church life.
There was also a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud in the wilderness, so they followed the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud in circles, round and round, for forty years until they became very familiar with it. Some people were very satisfied with this journey, but you will find that most people were not, because the Bible recorded those forty years were filled with the complaints and bitterness of the Israelites.
The same situation also occurs in the church, with many people's complaints and bitterness.
That journey is too familiar.
The Book of Joshua tells us from the first chapter that a new era has come, and God has raised a new generation to replace the old generation that died in the wilderness. Among this generation, we see an old man, Caleb, who was eighty-five years old.
Some children had never been around in the wilderness. At that time, there were two million people, and Israel had 600,000 troops, which was still a minority.
We see a description here, in Joshua 1:2, after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Joshua, son of Nun, Moses' assistant, saying, Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. . "
This is what Jehovah God said to Joshua.
One thing you must do when entering the land of Canaan is to leave your comfortable place and your comfortable environment.
I just talked about what the environment is like. From Monday to Sunday, we have Bible study, small groups, and Sunday meetings. But when God allowed them to enter the land of Canaan, He told them to leave their comfortable places and get going, not to stay there and not to keep warming the church pew.
Moses and Joshua had heard these words before. God said the same thing in the same sentence, instructing them to leave their comfortable environment and begin fighting, which foreshadowed that at end of the ages, we are about to leave the wilderness.
Now many of us say that my current situation seems to be pretty good, it’s not bad, I am calm, and nothing can shake me, so I live quite comfortably. This is what many of us think.
But possess the promised land as your inheritance is not like that. The first step is leaving your comfortable zone (environment).
Some people feel that is cruel.
This is why some people jump up when they encounter a conflict and ask why they have troubles. This has never happened in the environment they are familiar with before. The new generation has a character: responding to God. They respond to God immediately.
But it was not necessarily the case with Moses’ generation. We can see the difference in character between the old generation and the new generation. The new generation stood up and responded, saying, “I am willing to stand up and participate in the battle.”
When the Lord sent us to do the first Pan Pacific Spiritual Warfare, the first enemies we encountered were the seven tribes of Canaan, and they were not from the human race (Nephilim). Don’t you think it’s amazing that history is repeating in our time? The new generation of Joshua responds to God's call and then inherits the promise.
Talking about us, if you want to be different from the older generation, the first thing for you is to respond to God. Are you willing to rise up and become the army of Jehovah?
I know that we all have children, careers, and all kinds of things that we can't let go of, but these cannot and should not be excuses to prevent you from following God into the promised land. If you don’t respond, you will die in the wilderness. It’s very simple. This is the difference between the new generation and the old generation.
What is the difference between the new generation and the old generation?
Different perspectives.
Forty years ago, Moses' spies brought back bad news, but forty years later, the same people were facing the same enemies and spying on the same places. There were huge differences between the new generation and the old generation.
Joshua 2:24 says to Joshua, “The LORD has indeed delivered the land into our hands, and all the inhabitants of the land melt in fear at our presence.” This is a very good momentum. When the spies saw the people of Anak, and then they still claimed: “The LORD has indeed delivered the land into our hands.”
But we know that in Moses' generation, the twelve spies came back and said, "We are like grasshoppers, and they are like giants." Our hearts melted, and we decided not to go over there and would just stay here. We see things differently: same scene, same enemy, but different outcomes.
I have heard many such testimonies. When many of us want to offer ourselves and dedicate ourselves, many negative voices come: Don’t do this. How will you survive if you lose your job? Look, Pastor So-and-so’s family is pitiful. Soon you will have to sell your house because you have no money. At this time, bad news would keep coming in and make people frightened and cowardly.
Are all the bad news fake? No, it really happened in other people’s life.
So what is the difference? The difference lies in the perspective. The perspective that comes from God is different.
Whenever we are in the spiritual realm and our enemies’ hearts melt when they hear our reputation, then we will be able to stand firm.
When Joshua's army planned to take Jericho, before they entered the city, the two spies went to Rahab's house, and Rahab said, "When they heard about you, their hearts melted because you were Joshua's army."
After these forty years, the new generation is completely different. They have corrected their focus and attention to be on God, so they allow God to have full control over his entire army. This is the key point, which is how to allow God to have full control within a ministry.
When you receive the revelation from God, your entire perspective will be shifted. Therefore, a completely new shift in perspective depends on where I should focus my attention and whether I am willing to let God shift my focus, shift my perspective, and change our attention today.
The third point is to let God take control of our lives and see things through God’s eyes.
Although there are difficulties, you have to turn your eyes and look up to God. The environment has not changed, but the object of my attention has changed, so my faith has risen to a higher level.
What is the big difference between the new generation of Israelites and the old generation of Israelites? Joshua and his people were wandering in the wilderness. They didn’t change their clothes for forty years and only wore a pair of shoes. What does it mean? They had no fixed place to stay, unlike the tribe of Anah who had castles and strong fortifications.
Because they chose to step up faith in God, that choice made the people in Canaan fearful, and their hearts melted.
They choose to rely on God and let God have complete control, and then God exalts them. This is attention. We need to check ours.
Another famous example is Peter. Peter could walk on the water, but after a while, he lowered his head and thought, "Oh, I'm on the water!" And he fell in. When your focus changes instantly, you fall into the water.
The consequences of unbelief are quite terrible. The consequence is that one will die in the wilderness and will not be able to enter Canaan. This is a very cruel law, a very cruel fact.
In the Kingdom of God, there is one thing within the spiritual law that can lead to the destruction of an entire nation. It is the sin of unbelief.
Why is this sin so serious? It is because God has commanded them to go. At that time, people obtained the proof, and they also knew that this was the word of God. No one could play dumb and claim that they did not hear it. If someone refuses a clear instruction from God, this is the sin of unbelief.
When God calls us today, we have already heard the call, and we know it has assurance, even if we receive confirmation from others, many of us still will say, "Let me think about it."
The bible clearly states the spiritual law: If people don’t obey, then this sin will cause this generation to die in the wilderness, and they will wander in the wilderness. If you are poor, you will continue to be poor. If you are sick, you will continue to be sick. If your problems cannot be solved, you will continue to be trapped in trouble. This is the result of the Sin of unbelief.
God has clearly told you, and you also know that it is the word of God, but you do not obey. Not doing what God has commanded you will cause a generation to perish.
Because it is so easy for us to find excuses to disobey God, like someone may claim that they can’t handle interpersonal relationships, they refuse to be leaders. Others may claim that they are afraid the enemy will be too strong, so they won’t join the spiritual warfare. Many people may find other excuses. There is a worldly saying: If I don’t do the work, I won’t make mistakes. The more work I do, the more mistakes I make.
What is God's law? I have commanded you, but you do not obey. This is your greatest sin, which can cause the destruction of an entire nation, which means it can destroy your entire family. Isn't it terrible?
Some time ago, I heard a testimony: that talked about a bedridden young man. Later, I asked him what was wrong. When I laid my hands on him, I immediately knew the reason. I told him that God had called him before. He said, one year, he was called by God, but he did not respond.
Another person has a similar situation. When I laid my hands on him and prayed for him, he admitted that he had dedicated himself to God during his college years. He promised God that he would help a certain organization, but he did not go. He is now almost 50 years old, but as time passed, he was busy with family, work, and career, he forgot his covenant with God, but God still remembers it.
As soon as I laid my hands on him, I told him that he was called when he was in college, and he didn’t respond to God. He started crying because now he had a chronic disease that could not be cured.
This is a true event. How can he be healed, I say it is possible when he truly responds to God’s call.
Because there are too many such examples among us, usually when a famous pastor or preacher gives an altar call or a call for dedication, many people rush forward and stand up excitedly and make commitments to God.
More than 95 percent of our brothers and sisters who are currently sitting here and online have already dedicated themselves to God, so you must quickly respond and serve God because time is short.
Because you promised God but did not carry it out, this is the sin of unbelief. Let’s respond to God now, don’t wait until the disciplines come then you remember the promises.
Another thing is the different mindsets and whether we are focused on the callings.
The book of Numbers talks about a man named Caleb. Who is Caleb? Caleb was one of the twelve spies. As soon as he returned to Moses, he comforted the people in front of Moses. He said, "Let us go up at once and take possession of the land; we are fully able to conquer it."
However, there is no record of Joshua in that place, including the later statement in Numbers 14:24 where God spoke, saying, “But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land where he has been, and his descendants will surely inherit it.”
Joshua was not mentioned here, only Caleb is.
God said that only Caleb had a different heart and was determined to follow God wholeheartedly, so God exalted Caleb.
We discovered that Caleb was not actually from the tribe of Judah. Caleb was actually a Gentile but was classified as a member of the tribe of Judah because his parents or he became naturalized Israelites.
There was another famous Gentile figure, the prostitute Rahab, who later married one of the two spies sent by Joshua. These two spies heard the good news and brought it back to the camp.
These are two very special characters in the books of Numbers and Joshua. Caleb, in the book of Numbers, is a person whom God wants to exalt.
If you go back and look at Rahab's conversation, you will see what she said: We don't need to fight with you anymore. We have heard the legends about you in the wilderness. We have heard how Jehovah helped you. We were so scared that our hearts melted. This shows that Rahab was very clear about the power of Jehovah, so we can see that these two Gentiles knew very clearly the power of God.
After Joshua chapter 14, the Bible said that Caleb had a different mindset. He always remembered what Moses had said to him. Moses swore that he would give the mountain area occupied by the tribe of Anak to Caleb. He had heard this promise when he was forty years old.
Caleb was eighty-five years old by the time of the Book of Joshua, but he still had to put on armor and go into battle because he said, "I want the land of Hebron." He came to Joshua and said, 'I remember that God promised me this land called Hebron. So, I have come to you today; please bless me, for I want this land of Hebron.
Hebron was to be conquered at that time, and there was still a lot of land that had not been conquered in Joshua's time. Hebron was conquered by Caleb, so Joshua 14:15 says, "The name of Hebron formerly was Kiriath Arba. Arba was the most distinguished man among the Anakites. Then there was peace in the country, and there was no more war.
Hebron later became the inheritance of Caleb's generation until this day, the scripture says. We see that the land of Hebron, which God promised to Abraham, was not fulfilled until the time of Caleb.
Moreover, it was Caleb who fought and conquered the cities and plundered the land from the Anakites. It was not so easy to take it, and that is how the promise was fulfilled.
We see why Caleb had a different mindset, which is the key characteristic for the new generation. It is because he knew that Abraham had once received a promise from God to inherit the land.
We also talked about that there is a strategic assignment in God’s end-time master plan. God doesn’t have to only use our ministry in the master plan, but whether we respond to Him. When we respond, the strategic assignments will come. We will do things that our predecessors have never done, and we will encounter incredible and out of imagination experiences.
We are even like Caleb, we don’t know what the end is. After Caleb fought hard against Hebron, did it really benefit him a lot? We don’t even know what the ending will be for our journey.
Sometimes, we may not see the full results of our labor and sacrifice. It was only after many generations, the descendants of Caleb saw the full benefits of Hebron.
The last point is that we are going to walk a path that we have never walked before. Joshua 3:4 says, “This is a path you have never walked before.”
I believe that as immigrants, we left our old country and took a path we have never walked before, in the sense, we can relate to what the Israelites experienced. We came to a completely new place, without any acquaintances, and all the experiences we had learned before, everything we learned in our original country, seemed to be of no use here.
This is a road that has never been traveled before, and your experience cannot be transferred to the new place, so you are powerless.
We are facing this choice now, and we don’t know what the road ahead will be like. I have shared a testimony before. Once, I had an encounter with God, and God asked me to choose a path. He said there were two paths here. One was the path that predecessors and great men had walked on, and the other was a path that no one had walked on. Which one did you want to take? God asked me this at that time, and I answered quite wisely. I said, Lord, I will follow you. I will take whichever path you want to take.
Therefore, the new generation faces a new stage, a new life, and a new season. All our experiences are no longer applicable because we are under a new flow of the Holy Spirit, the seasons are different, the people are different, and the methods and ways from God may also be different.
In this new season, one day God told me: I will give you a new way to serve people. This new method is that I can cast out demons when I am having a meal and talking with people. I took out my cell phone while in the washroom, using a voice message to finish the healing and deliverance service. I have personally experienced this new way in many cases.
This is the power of God. The key lies in the revelation and word from God.
I just followed the revelation from God and carried it out according to His teachings, and then I saw the fruits.
In the new season, what you need to listen for is new revelations from God, and what you need to listen for is God’s present voice, not some old stories.
The work of the Holy Spirit a hundred years ago can no longer help you in the new season because that experience cannot be applied again. Just like computer programmers, do computer programmers need to receive new training? Many computer programmers told me that they couldn’t keep up with the new updates and new technology.
That's why we feel like we can't keep up with God sometimes, because the seasons are changing, and new wine is being put into new wineskins. What will happen if (new wine) is put into old wineskins? The wineskins will break.
Thank you, God, that’s all I have to share today.
