The Spirit of Division
"One
was Debir, the other was King Geder" (Joshua 12:13)
It
destroys communication between people, making it difficult for people to talk,
causing misunderstandings and prejudices between each other, leading to
alienation between families, church divisions, ethnic divisions, social class
divisions, racial discrimination, and national confrontations. Christ came, but
"to
make us peace, to make both one, and to break down the middle wall of partition
between us." (Ephesians 2:14)
Concept:
The
spirit of division - "The spirit of division" is a dark power in the
spiritual world that specializes in "division".
Division:
means to split, to separate the whole thing, and also to separate the whole; in
addition, it also means to be scattered and not unified. Spiritual authority
exists because believers gradually tend to unite according to the goals given
by God. Therefore, division is Satan's basic trick to divide and conquer, and division is one of the
enemy's most important weapons. The first action he took against mankind was to divide
(alienate) the relationship between man and God in the Garden of Eden.
Manifestations:
The
spirit of division usually manifests itself in us as: destruction of thoughts
and ideas, or using words to offend and hurt others, making them feel ashamed,
insecure, or destroying trust. Usually this spirit will create such divisions
between people, or between people and God.
In
marriage, friendship, family, church, different denominations, groups,
different ethnic groups, offices, schools, countries, as long as there are
people, the spirit of division can work in them, causing division and disunity.
Causes
of division:
1. Exalt people
I
mean that each of you says, "I am of Paul," "I am of
Apollos," "I am of Cephas," "I am of Christ." Is
Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of
Paul? (1 Corinthians 1:12-13)
Some
of them exalt Paul, some Apollos, and some Cephas; for when one is exalted,
another is degraded, and jealousy and strife arise.
Brothers,
I urge you by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you all speak the same
thing. And there should be no divisions among you, but be perfectly united in
the same mind and in the same opinion. Paul said, "For I determined not to
know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." (1
Corinthians 1:10)
Paul's
meaning is to teach us: Do not exalt people, but only exalt Jesus Christ. (1
Corinthians 2:2)
2.
Accept the support of others
I
beseech you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak
the same thing. And that there be no divisions among you, but that you be
perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1 Cor. 1:10)
First,
I hear that when you come together you have divisions among yourselves, and I
partly believe this. For there must be factions among you, that those who are
experienced may be made manifest. (1 Cor. 11:18-19)
We
see that there are many divisions in the church today. In addition to the
truth, most of the others are for authority, wanting to gain a spiritual
position in the church, or maintaining an existing position, and thus winning
over people to support him or accepting people's support. This will inevitably
lead to factions, open struggles, and great breaches, giving Satan the
opportunity to divide and destroy.
3.
The work of the old Adam
You
are still of the flesh, for there are jealousies and quarrels among you. Isn't
this of the flesh, and acting like the world? (1 Corinthians 3:3)
There
are many people in the
church who have been saved by grace, but they do not have the will to pursue,
do not deal with themselves seriously, do not regard Jesus as the Lord of their
lives, and are still infants in Christ, so they are driven by the flesh and old
self. Some exalt others and take pleasure in exalting others; there are
also many people who are happy to be exalted by others and feel comfortable
sitting in a high position. Are there any "self" activities in the
church today? "Self" is the main reason for forming factions.
Allowing
factions in the church to continue to develop will cause divisions. This spirit
of division often carries the
disguise of truth, and it actually comes from the evil of the human heart - the mind of the
devil.
4.
The essence of division is to resist the word of God with human flesh and lust
Drive
out the scornful, and the dispute will be eliminated, and the disputes and
humiliation will also cease. (Proverbs 22:10)
Lord,
we have so many shortcomings in unity. Please help us understand and appreciate
your prayer for our unity. Let us pray for the unity of all the members of the
church and be determined to be a peacemaker and a person who strives to promote
unity. Amen.
How
to Cut and Break Off:
1.
First,
recognize how the spirit of division works.
2.
Reject
its control over you, come to God and repent of each sin one by one, and do not
try to tear down the walls of division of others with your own flesh.
3.
When
you pray to uproot each place where the spirit of division appears, you should
pray to establish the opposite spirit, which is the attribute or work of Jesus.
4.
Ask
God to send down His Spirit to overcome and repair, and ask God to establish
His sovereignty in the relationship. Let us, under the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, sow the seeds of restoration through repentance, obedience, praise,
prayer, correction, affirmation, faith, joy, patience, and strong love.

There
are many practical examples that lead to social alienation, physical assault
and rape, and spiritual loneliness. Abortion is an obvious example, which is
caused by the departure from God's law and the loss of the mother's natural
love for her child. Therefore, the baby is forcibly separated from the mother's
womb and life before birth. Murder
and suicide are also the work of the spirit of division.
Prayer
to Break off:
Dear
Abba Father, in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy
Spirit, I come before you and repent for the divisions, destructions and mutual
injuries that my family and I have caused due to pride, arrogance, complacency,
conceit, arrogance, arrogance and exaggeration in our lives (can be replaced
with the sins in the 20). I confess and break and abandon all the sins that my
family and ancestors have committed, as well as the wrong beliefs and behaviors
that agree with the devil's lies.
In
the name of Jesus Christ, I repent and abandon pride (the 20 sins), and ask you
to break all its control and bondage in our lives. When you pour the Holy
Spirit on me, please also work the humble spirit (according to the opposite
spirit in the 20) in me. Father God, please help me to fight against all the
divisions and destructions done by the spirit of pride (replaced with the 20
sins) at home and in any environment, as well as all the negative and divisive
effects on various relationships.
Please
grant Jesus’ humility to operate in all these situations through the power of
the Holy Spirit, because Jesus lived, died, and rose again to destroy all of
Satan’s works. I also ask Father God to forgive and pardon all the harm and
impact I have caused to others because of the division caused by my pride (the
20 sins), and I also ask them to forgive and pardon me. Lord, please give your
children the power of repentance to help me walk in your humility and love (the
spirit of the opposite of the 20 sins) in my life.
In
the holy name of Jesus Christ, I declare that they are completely invalid in my
life, and can no longer bring negative, divisive, destructive and destructive
effects in all kinds of relationships, families, relatives, work, and service
in the lives of me and my descendants. In the holy name of Jesus Christ, the
precious blood breaks and cancels every word and sentence that my ancestors
have ever said, and also cancels the work of all the curse spirits. I declare
that I have been freed from the curse and entered the blessing.
In
the holy name of Jesus Christ, I bind and command all the evil spirits related
to these divisive curses to leave me and go to where the Lord Jesus wants them
to go, and never come back, nor allow them to disturb or harm anyone. Abba
Heavenly Father, please send angels to help me and accomplish all the work I
pray for. Thank you and praise the Lord! Victory prayer in the name of Jesus
Christ! Amen!

We
declare that the power of God's
love will be released in my life, so that I have the power of love to
love and support each other.
We

also flow out of this
river of living water in my belly to feed more of God's people.
Declare
that our lives will be filled with more of God's words and truth. We will live
out the life of Jesus Christ and walk on the path of all truth and
righteousness. Every step we take and every area we step into, declare that
division will leave and the guarantee of love and unity will be established.
Declare
that the power of God's
cross will be released in our families, groups, churches and workplaces,
and in all levels of society. Declare that all divisions, alienations,
destruction, and devastation will be abolished, and only God's truth and God's
kingdom culture will operate here. Love, tolerance, understanding, help, unity,
gathering, mercy, grace, justice, truth, faithfulness, and holiness will be
filled in the whole earth and in every life. God, your Spirit will operate
here, declare that your true light will enter, darkness will retreat, the old
cycle will be abolished, and a new model that is in line with God's will will
be established!
Declare
that no power can separate us from God's love.
