The Spirit of Pride and Arrogance
It makes people arrogant, unable to listen, and face-loving,
unwilling to confess sins and mistakes.
It does not fight alone, but often cooperates with other evil
spirits, strengthening the camps of other evil spirits by strengthening
people's arrogant mentality. It is a reinforcing agent for each evil spirit.
When Lachish (the counterfeit spirit) was besieged by Joshua, it
was King Gezer who led his troops to "come up" to rescue (making
people proud). When a person trapped in heresy and paganism begins to waver,
the arrogant and arrogant evil spirit will come and make that person take care
of his own face, become tough again, and refuse to admit that what he believes
is wrong.
The concept of the arrogant and arrogant
spirit:
Pride is a self-centered prison. The fences that imprison us are
self-exaltation, self-glorification, self-satisfaction and self-justification.
Putting oneself in this kind of imprisonment will form a spirit that often
fights against God and people, and will be fueled by unforgiveness, bitterness and anger - this is the
fruit of pride.
Manifestations of the spirit of pride
and arrogance:
When we are fanatically protecting ourselves with an
impenetrable pride, emptiness, and self-justification, we will never experience
the freedom of rising and transcending ourselves on the wings of agape love.
When we strive to hide ourselves in the cocoon of self-righteousness and insist
on the attitude of "I want to do it my own way", we will not be able
to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit abundantly.
1. There is a self-rejection and self-protection mechanism in life, wanting to keep a distance from others, unable to accept the love or words conveyed by others, always wanting to reject; not needing close interpersonal relationships, feeling that the troubles brought by interpersonal relationships far outweigh the benefits we get.
2. Love to
compete with others: If you are stronger than others, you will be arrogant and
look down on others, and you will not be able to stand in the other person's
perspective to see the weakness of others; if you are not as good as others,
you will complain, be jealous, covetous, lack a teachable heart, do not respect
authority, and do not obey.
3. Arrogant,
sarcastic, hurt, humiliate others, belittle others, exaggerate others'
shortcomings, or even hold on to them, just to elevate yourself, but downplay
your own shortcomings.
4. Slander,
complain, envy, covet, judge, be picky, love to blame, and do not accept
others' forgiveness.
5. Cannot
think from the other person's perspective and look at the problem from the
other person's perspective.
6. Love face,
cannot listen to others' opinions, refuse to admit mistakes, and do not ask for
others' forgiveness.
7. Love to
compare and seek fairness and justice for spiritual or life situations,
suffering or blessings.
8. Centered
on their own life, think they are very important, rely only on themselves, not
on God.
9. Make
specious arguments, self-justification, blame others, and do not tolerate
criticism from others; cold and merciless.
10. Like to
control everything, force others to do what they want, and if they don't do it,
they will blame and judge endlessly.
11. Lack of
gratitude when encountering things; think that enjoying all the good things is
a matter of course, and are not satisfied.
12. Love to
get angry, bad temper, irritable, impatient with people, and complain about
everything; feel that their "rights" or expectations are not met.
13. Often
belittle oneself, feel inferior and self-pitying, appearing self-pitying on the
surface, but actually being proud.
14. Strive to
do everything perfectly, nitpick, and often motivated by the desire to gain the
approval of others.
15. Selfish,
only seeking for oneself, not seeking God's will or interceding for the needs
of others.
16.
Talk about oneself too much, control the topic when
communicating with others, chatter, brag; pay too much attention to what others
think of oneself.
Causes of arrogant spirit:
1.
Increasing achievements and success will lead to people becoming
more and more arrogant and no longer relying on God.
Lest I be full and deny You, And say,
‘Who is the Lord?’ (Proverbs 30:9)
I will break the pride of your power; I
will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. (Leviticus 26:19)
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly
hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. (Psalm
62:10)
2.
Love to compare, see oneself as better than others, have no
mercy, and lead to pride.
In lowliness of mind let each esteem
others better than himself. (Philippians 2:3)
You should have a heart like Christ
Jesus. What does it look like specifically? That is
And being found in
appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of
death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8)
God resists the proud, But gives grace
to the humble. (James 4:6)
By pride comes nothing but strife, But
with the well-advised is wisdom. (Proverbs 13:10)
3.
To think oneself superior to spiritual or worldly knowledge, to
be outstanding and to show off greatly, leading to pride.
Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. (1
Corinthians 8:1)
Talk no more so very proudly; Let no
arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by
Him actions are weighed. (1 Samuel 2:3)
4.
To regard oneself as equal to God and act according to the
desires of one's own heart, leading to pride.
Once our
self-identification is contrary to God's words: then, we are trapped in
self-justification, which is a form of pride.
I will break the pride of your power; I
will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. (Leviticus 26:19)
In order to turn man from his deed, And
conceal pride from man. (Job 33:17)
Everyone proud in heart is an
abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunishe.
(Proverbs 16:5)
5.
Rooted in racism or sexism, or in professional, academic,
religious, cultural, national or any form of pride, seeing oneself as superior
and others as inferior; being proud of someone or something, leading to pride.
He beholds every high thing; He is king
over all the children of pride. (Job 41:34)
When pride comes, then comes shame; But
with the humble is wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2)
In the mouth of a fool is a rod of
pride, But the lips of the wise will preserve them.. (Proverbs 14:3)
6.
Because of some hurt or abuse in the past or childhood, the
heart is bitter, closed, and self-rejected, leading to pride.
Not only do they not allow God's healing to come to those areas
of trauma and bitterness, they also think that His power is limited, and are
unwilling to let the flesh die because of their belief in the Lord's love, and
even think that God causes those terrible things to happen to us.
They have closed up
their fat hearts; With their mouths they speak proudly.. (Psalm
17:10)
How to eradicate pride:
The only way to eradicate pride is humility
The only way to eradicate pride is humility. Humility does not
mean looking down on yourself. Humility is freedom from pride and arrogance. It
is a moderate estimate of self-worth, neither looking down on yourself nor
being conceited. Humility
is not thinking badly of yourself, but not always thinking about yourself.
Humility means gentleness, not weakness.
Jesus said, " I am gentle
and lowly in heart. You should learn from me." (Matthew 11:29)
On the other hand, proud people are often harsh, severe, and
sharp. You can never please such people, and they will never be satisfied.
3 Ways to Live a Humble Life and Root
Out Pride:
1. Forgive Quickly
A humble person will forgive quickly, will not offend others
lightly, and will gladly wait for God’s judgment. If someone is unkind to you,
the best thing you can do is forgive them and be kind. I am not suggesting that
people should just walk all over you, but we need to do our part and trust God
to correct those mistakes.
2. Don’t Boast
God has allowed me to be involved in some extraordinary things
around the world, but I can honestly tell you that I have trained myself not to
care about those things because they can get you into trouble.
Every time God lets you be involved in something great, you just
need to simply say, “Thank you, God, for allowing me to do something; I know
it’s not about me, it’s about You!”
3. Be Patient and Wait for Promotion
Don’t be too eager to be in the spotlight, or have your name on
the door of an office, or have someone call you boss or leader. God chooses who
to put where, and if He puts you there, then be humble in your position and do
what God wants you to do.
Even if He asks you to clean toilets, do it gladly; you are not rewarded for doing
something great, you are rewarded for obeying God and being willing to do what
God asks you to do.
Humility and patience are probably the two most difficult
virtues to acquire. But the truth is, all impatience is a sign of pride, if I can't stand
waiting for a promotion or anything, it's because I feel I'm too important to
wait and I should get what I want right away.
To truly live a confident, humble life, you need to remember
where your abilities come from. If you are the more gifted person, then you
should become the more humble person, and only with this attitude can God's
glory be fully manifested through your life.
Disconnect and break:
In the name of Jesus Christ, disconnect and break the following
forces that cause pride and arrogance:
1. Continuously increasing achievements
and success will lead to people becoming more and more proud and no longer
relying on God.
Lest I be full and deny You, And say,
‘Who is the Lord?’ (Proverbs 30:9)
I will break the pride of your power; I
will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. (Leviticus 26:19)
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly
hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. (Psalm
62:10)

3. Thinking that one is superior to

Talk no more so very proudly; Let no
arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by

4. Considering oneself equal to God and following the desires of one's
own heart leads to pride.
Once our self-identification is contrary to God's Word: then we
are trapped in self-justification, which is a form of pride.
I will break the pride of your power; I

Everyone proud in heart is an
abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunishe.
(Proverbs 16:5)
5. Pride rooted in racism or sexism, or in occupation, academic,
religion, culture, nationality or any form of pride, considering oneself
superior and others inferior; being proud of someone or something leads to
pride.
He beholds every high thing; He is king
over all the children of pride. (Job 41:34)

6. Because of some injuries or abuses in the past or childhood,
the heart is bitter, self-enclosed, and self-rejected, leading to pride.
Not only do we not allow God's healing to come to those areas of
trauma and bitterness, but we also think that His power is limited, and we are
unwilling to let the flesh die because of our belief in the Lord's love, and
even think that God caused those terrible things to happen to us.
Their hearts are wrapped in fat; they speak proud words with
their mouths. (Psalm 17:10)
In the name of Jesus Christ, take up the sword of the Holy
Spirit and cut off all sin connections, sin curses, and sin influences brought
about by these sins by the precious blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus
Christ, I take the sword of the Holy Spirit and cut them all off, draw a blood
line with my precious blood, and stand in the middle with the cross.
In the holy name of Jesus Christ, I command all the powers of
retribution not to cross the cross; in the holy name of Jesus Christ, I also
disconnect and close the spiritual channels and doors that are open to the
enemy because of these sins, and the precious blood is poured out, and the
cross is inserted on it. Because of the precious blood shed by Jesus Christ on
the cross, all curses and altars of all enemies are destroyed and broken.
In the holy name of Jesus Christ, all the altars of pride and
arrogance set up by the enemy in my home, the altars of love for competition
and comparison, the altars of arrogance and judgment, the altars of bitterness
and unforgiving anger, the altars of self-righteousness, the altars of jealousy
and hatred, the altars of pride and arrogance, the altars of nitpicking and
love of accusation, the altars of inferiority and self-rejection, the altars of
stubbornness and rebellion, the altars of greed and selfishness, and the altars
that honor oneself more than honoring God are broken and destroyed.
In the holy name of Jesus Christ, all altars are broken,
cleansed by the precious blood, burned by the raging fire, and a cross is
inserted in the middle of each altar, blocking it, making it ineffective and
never to be used.
Breaking down behavior: the spirit of pride and arrogance
In the name of Jesus Christ, we confess and repent for what we
have done:
1.
Arrogance, not respecting others and authority figures, being
arrogant, looking down on others, thinking that we are always better than
others, being arrogant, exalting ourselves, thinking that we are great, being
proud of ourselves, while devaluing others, showing off, and loving to control
others
2. Thinking
that our way is the best, so that we are unwilling to submit to the Lord, being
rebellious, stubborn, obstinate, and not trusting God.
3. Love to
complain, be jealous, criticize and judge, look down on everyone or everything,
be picky, blame, cannot tolerate others' shortcomings, cannot see others'
strengths, and act arbitrarily according to our own will. Ungrateful and
unsatisfied.
4. Love to
save face, love to compete and compare, and strive to achieve success to prove
our superiority.
5. Because of
pride, we exalt ourselves above others, exploit and abuse others, and even kill
others.
6. Make up
excuses, justify ourselves, blame others, and cannot tolerate criticism from
others; be cold and merciless.
7. Exaggerate
your own achievements and successes, even your children's achievements and
successes; do not give glory to God.
8. Not
humble, unteachable, think you know better than others, unable to learn from
others, especially those who you think are not better than you.
9. Used
hostile thoughts to look at others, spoke ill of others, slandered people or
things, and have a perverse mouth.
10. Love
anger, bad temper, irritability, lack of patience with people, intolerant, and
harsh on others.
11.
Inner vow: Man will conquer nature. Only through your own
efforts can you achieve success. You are all wrong, only mine is right; I don't
need anyone, and I don't need to apologize to anyone. I am the best. I don't
rely on anyone, only on myself. This is who I am.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I break and renounce these sins of
pride and arrogance in my family, and renounce the inner vows caused by pride.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I completely tear and cancel them in the spiritual
world. In the name of Jesus Christ, I take up the sword of the Holy Spirit and
completely cut, break, and smash these inner vows.
Break all the bondages brought to me by these inner vows, break
all the curses brought to me by these inner vows, in the name of Jesus Christ,
break and break all the control and bondage of sins brought by these sins, in
the holy name of Jesus Christ, declare them invalid and can no longer affect me
and my descendants.
In the name of Jesus Christ, release my souls and my family from
the bondage of the spirit of pride; in the holy name of Jesus Christ, bind and
command all the evil spirits related to these sins to leave me and go to the
place designated by the Lord Jesus, and never come back, and never disturb or
harm anyone in my family. All the curses brought by the sin of pride are broken
in the holy name of Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, break the curse of judging and
hating people; in the name of Jesus Christ, break the curse of anger; in the
name of Jesus Christ, break the curse of bitterness and unforgiveness; in the
name of Jesus Christ, break the curse of unhappiness. All the curses brought by
sin are completely broken in the name of Jesus Christ, leaving none behind,
cleansed by the precious blood, and ask the blazing fire of the Holy Spirit to
burn in multidimensional space. Ask the Heavenly Father to release the angels
and heavenly armies to draw blood lines around my family, set up walls of fire,
and pull up fire nets.
Lord! Please let the wind of Your Holy Spirit blow in, revive
the dry bones, grow bones, tendons, and flesh, and let the soul be raised up by
God. Heavenly Father, please extend Your rod of salvation and mercy, and give
the spirit of repentance, and remove all stubbornness and rebellion, all
unbelieving evil thoughts, and burn them with blazing fire, and completely burn
all pride and arrogance in my family. In the name of Jesus Christ, I take up
the sword of the Holy Spirit, cut off all the connections between my family and
the enemy, plant crosses on all sides, and plant the flag of love above our
family.
May Heavenly Father fulfill all that I pray for. Thank you,
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Declare the blessing prayer:
Declare in the holy name of Jesus Christ that the blood of Jesus
Christ has cleansed and freed me from the power of these sins. He is my
mediator in the new covenant, which gives me the right to overcome them.
Heavenly Father, today I ask that all their records be removed. Lord, I now ask
the seven spirits of the Lord, who bear witness to my salvation and sonship, to
release me from the power mentioned above.
Declare in the holy name of Jesus Christ that this is the day of
the Lord's favor, now is the day of redemption, and ask the Heavenly Father to
send angels to patrol around my home and family, and ask for the seal of
holiness to the Lord on the forehead of every soul still alive.
Declare in the holy name of Jesus Christ that we are children
favored by You, and You have not withheld any good from us. Please bless me and
my family to have a blessed mentality, a blessed lifestyle, a blessed speech,
and a rich and generous heart. Abba Father, please be with us, let us rely on
your power, obey your guidance, release your mighty power, fulfill your will,
and glorify your name. According to your words: I am with you, and you will
strike the Midianites as if you struck one person.
In the holy name of Jesus Christ, I declare that Abba Father,
your glory is on us, and the day of our favor has come. Today and every day are
the days when your favor comes to us, and your favor is added to us every day.
The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack God's favor, and there will be
goodness and covenant grace following me. I have received supernatural
additions and promotions.
In the holy name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I can do
everything by Christ, because you have strengthened me and favored me in all
things. My family and I have heavenly blessings in Christ. So, I believe,
Father, that You will teach us all things that pertain to life and godliness,
and we have a rich inheritance in Christ, for we are joint-heirs with Him to
all things of God.
Dear Father God, thank you for justifying me and my family and
accepting us through the precious blood of Christ. Lord, I look forward to
God's favor being fully manifested in us.
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that all that has been
stolen by the devil will be returned to us, so that any weapon that attacks us
will not prosper. We have special honor and increased assets in front of the
enemy, especially in the expansion of real estate and land. Heavenly Father,
your love protects me and my family.
Therefore, I declare that no disease or pain can grow on me and
my family. Through the precious blood of Jesus, I and my family have received
the mercy and grace of the covenant. Because of the precious blood of Jesus
Christ, we are greatly blessed. We are blessed in the city and in the field.
Grace becomes the crown of our years, and our paths will drip with rich fat. I
fear the Lord and take pleasure in His word. Therefore, God gives me the power
to attract abundant blessings, wealth and prosperity to my home.
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that every day, when
people approach me, they are blessed by God and also receive grace. The door of
opportunity is always wide open for us, making me and my family a fruitful
vine, and my children are as numerous as the olive trees surrounding my home.
Lord, your grace also enables my children to receive the Lord's teachings and
always be surrounded by peace and joy; I exalt God as my refuge and my high
tower, and make God my banner of victory.
When we are greatly favored by God, we experience great victory,
supernatural reversal and miraculous breakthroughs in the impossible; I and my
family, because of the glory of God, have a good name, prosperity and honor, so
that your highest name can be glorified. This prayer and declaration is in the
victorious name of my Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
