THE INFLUENCE OF THE GREEK SPIRIT

REPENTANCE- Prayer for Sanctification：

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus who loves me, and Holy Spirit,

Thank You, Trinity God, for keeping my soul, mind, and thoughts holy. May my spirit remain sanctified, submissive, and obedient, and may my body be presented as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, my Abba Father.

The blood of Jesus continually wash and cleanse me, reflecting Your glory like a mirror.

Holy Spirit, let Your holy light shine within me, so I may shine like a precious, glowing gemstone, built as a living stone in Your spiritual temple.

Father, Your light spreads across the earth; You spoke and there was light. I now kneel before You, asking for the extension of Your mercy, for You to stretch out Your rod of compassion toward me.

I repent for the contaminations I have incurred under the influence of the Antichrist’s power and the kingdom of darkness, which I have not yet confessed or repented of. I ask that the fiery furnace of the Holy Spirit purify and refine all ungodliness in me. May the precious blood of Lord Jesus cleanse, wash, and saturate me, removing any marks of the beast that I have knowingly or unknowingly accepted, or any idols I have worshipped. May the resurrection power of Christ on the cross fully activate within me. Thank You, Jesus.

1. The Olympic Games, Sports and Competition

We are constantly competing with others, trying to determine who is the best. The Olympic Games are a prime example. Greek sculpture emphasizes the concept of "divine-human likeness," blending the worship of Greek gods with self-idolatry. This indulges the desires of the eyes and flesh and it inflates human self-awareness, enabling the Greek spirit to spread rapidly and gain widespread admiration. It leads to spiritual corruption and moral decay which quickly permeates through collective influence.

However, in God's kingdom, genuine love within the family is not about being the best but about each person fulfilling their mission.

2. The Significant Influence of Altars

Through sports and competition, people fall under the dominion of Hermes, who is regarded as the god overseeing sports and athletic competitions. Hermes is a transformation of Nimrod and behind him lies the Greek spirit. Ultimately, this leads to the worship and veneration of Satan, drawing people away from God.

3. The New Age Movement

The New Age movement integrates ancient spiritual and religious traditions from both the East and the West, blending them with concepts from modern science, particularly psychology and ecology.And New Age thought draws inspiration from major world religions, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Chinese folk religions, Buddhism, and Taoism. It is also heavily influenced by New Thought, Western mysticism, Neo-Paganism, Gnosticism, Universalism, East Asian religions,and Indian religious philosophies.

Repentance for Past Involvement in Olympic Activities and Approval of Related Thoughts and Ideas

Sample Prayer:

I repent for once recognizing Olympic champions as highly honorable and admiring Olympic athletes for bringing glory to their country, believing their spirit to be commendable.

In the past, I watched Olympic events such as the opening and closing ceremonies, not knowing that these were tricks of the enemy, Satan. I unknowingly participated in sun god worship days by watching with my family. I ask for God's mercy and grace. I willingly repent and nail these past experiences to the cross. From now on, I declare that the power of the Olympics has no authority, no share, and no place in my life! The precious blood of Lord Jesus has already cleansed me. I will no longer watch or pay attention to these events without seeking You first.

Repentance for Participation in or Approval of Activities Related to the Modern Olympic Games and New Age Movements

These include all the different kinds of spiritual enlightenment tools such as meditation (music), psychological counseling, SPA healing, acupuncture, yoga, Pilates, Krishna perception movement, New Age-related music, essential oil aromatherapy, mystical garden music, essential oil massage, fire therapy, sauna, and steam baths.

Sample Prayer:

Lord, I pray that Your precious blood wash and cleanse my ears, and every memory hidden within, including the colors, memories, and sounds in my subconscious and consciousness.

Lord, in Christ, may all of this be completely destroyed.

Let the fiery flames of the Holy Spirit burn away and purify the dark altars in my life. Yes, Lord, I am wholly Yours. Your precious blood, the crown of thorns, and the cross—by the stripes You bore, I am healed, and by the punishment You endured, I am set free.

Lord, for all the yoga poses I practiced, the books I’ve read, the sounds I’ve heard, the chants from meditations, the CDs I’ve watched, I physically destroy and throw them all away.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that all discarded written materials, publications, and CDs, along with any associated spiritual altars, are to be thrown into the lake of fire, never to influence me again. The evil spirits behind the spiritual enlightenment movement must come before the feet

of Jesus Christ, never to return. Let a fire net be drawn in heaven, a bloodline drawn on the earth, and the cross stand in between. Amen!

Lord, I also declare that all diseases remaining in my body caused by the nesting of evil spirits including all those affecting my gynecological, eye, spiritual, heart, and circulatory systems, and any marks or influences left in my organs that have stolen, killed, and destroyed my life are now all redeemed. Not only redeemed, but also restored to the beautiful and holy state You created me to be, Lord.

Thank You, Jesus, for crushing the serpent and scorpion; I too crush them. Because You ascended and resurrected, I also ascend and resurrect. Now, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Amen!

Lord Jesus, I also claim Your precious blood to pour over me and my descendants. Anything I have done, seen, or heard, especially anything related to meditation and the people or things associated with it, I ask You, Lord, to cleanse and remove all influences from me. As it flows through my bloodline, let every evil spirit and its marks in my descendants' spiritual enlightenment be completely torn down and destroyed. Thank You, Jesus. Your precious blood cleanses us completely, and we are fully Yours. We belong to You. Amen!

4. Psychological Techniques

Psychology is another concept linked to the Greek spirit.

Freud's core idea was that dreams are the fulfillment of desires—unmet desires in reality are satisfied in dreams. Many of his theories were inspired by dreams, which are tied to Hermes, the spirit of dreams. Hermes is associated with soul-capturing abilities, influencing the subconscious, deceiving, stealing, and seducing.

Thus, psychology and dream research often focus on fulfilling inner desires, allowing the subconscious which are linked to human spirits and demonic forces, to operate in dreams. These dynamics awaken desires and enable individuals to recognize their inner needs on a soul level. Through dream interpretation, they may seek fulfillment of these needs or healing for emotional wounds.

Psychological techniques or interpersonal methods used to manipulate others' will draw on the power of the soul. Using demonic forces to control someone's will taps into spiritual power. Even soul-based manipulation can create opportunities for the spirit of witchcraft to influence and take hold.

However, this approach does not rely on the work of the Holy Spirit. We must discern these channels carefully because choosing the wrong path can be very dangerous!

5. Statues, Sculptures, Murals: The Need to Touch and See to Believe

Greece was a major promoter of idolatry, catering to humanity's desire to touch and see.

Influenced by Greek mythology, the concept of "divine-human likeness" became widespread. This idea led artists to sculpt realistic human forms, often presented in nude styles.

Greek art, as a highly influential culture, shaped the creation and worship of Buddhist statues, fulfilling people's psychological need for idols they could see and touch. Buddhist art, such as sculptures and murals, became a powerful tool for spreading Buddhist teachings efficiently.

Idolatry serves as a primary gateway for demonic invasion, allowing spirits of immorality to exploit opportunities.

Immorality and unclean sexual relationships profoundly affect future generations.

Immorality is one of the most destructive weapons against families and a tool Satan repeatedly uses to corrupt humanity. This is why the Lord emphasizes the sanctity of marriage. Breaking ties with generational strongholds and patterns of immorality is crucial.

6. The Pursuit of (Physical) Perfectionism

The Olympic motto: "Faster, Higher, Stronger—Together," encourages the relentless pursuit of excellence and perfection. When we chase perfection, we struggle to accept our weaknesses, flaws, and failures. The Greek spirit subtly instils a value system that demands perfection, leaving no room for error. It drives individuals to strive for superiority and flawless victory, ultimately elevating oneself while causing others to feel inadequate and ashamed.

In contrast, God accepts us unconditionally as we are. His law illuminates our inner condition but cannot redeem or cleanse us from sin—only Christ can address humanity's sin problem.

When we are willing to acknowledge our imperfections, we allow God to accomplish His perfection within us.

Additionally, people seek physical perfection, as evidenced by the prevalence of gyms everywhere. Society has begun to idolize the body. However, our identity is not defined by our outward appearance but by who we are in Jesus Christ. We should aspire to a resurrected spiritual body empowered by divine life, not a decaying and weak physical form. That said, God does call us to care for our bodies, as they are temples of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance - The visible and the invisible: people need to touch and see to believe.

Some seek to know God through subjective perception, rather than relying on faith and repentance. They attempt to establish a relationship with God through their own imagination, rather than depending on faith, God’s Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit to repent.

2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hebrews 11:6 NIV

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Repentance For Immorality and Unclean Sexual Relationships Affecting Future Generations

Sample Prayer:

Lord, You are my Beloved, and I belong solely to You. "He who sits in the

heavens laughs." Lord, I declare that all sexual behavior, all unclean, immoral acts in my conscious and subconscious mind, including any lustful behavior outside of marriage, any impurity of the flesh, are completely abolished in Christ. Amen!

You, seated at the right hand of the Almighty, have redeemed me completely. Any accusations of the enemy in this matter are null and void in the face of the new creation I am in Christ, by the power of His precious blood. Any forces of immorality, temptation, and plans to trample and defile my body will be shattered and destroyed. The anointing of spiritual healing and holiness will be applied and released, like divine firebombs to destroy all strongholds of premarital sex, masturbation, and lust. I offer my body as a living sacrifice.

All unholy spiritual ties, soul ties, and body ties will be completely broken. Everything belonging to me will be redeemed. The righteous blood of Christ speaks the command for all things to return to their rightful place—what belongs to others will return to them, and what belongs to me will return to me.

Thank You, Jesus, for declaring "It is finished" on the cross, and now it is accomplished in my freedom in Christ. Not only this, but everything passed down through my bloodline, everything that flowed into my descendants, will also be destroyed and erased. Thank You, Jesus, for Your blood covenant that has made both the past and future generations holy. Amen!

Repentance for Parents Not Truly Knowing God and Relying on Their Own Understanding in Raising Children, Leading to a Misunderstanding of God

Ephesians 6:4 NIV

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Lord, forgive us for not training our children in Your ways. Help us to be godly parents to lead them into Your ways, Your will & Your Word.

Repentance For The Pursuit of Physical Perfectionism,

The Olympic motto is: "Faster, Higher, Stronger—Together." always pushes us to want to be stronger than others, to prove our own strength.

I repent for this mindset! God accepts us as we are! When we are willing to acknowledge our imperfections, we allow God to accomplish His perfection in us.

Repentance for Self Exaltation

The Greek spirit exalts the self.

We repent for our thoughts, words, actions, and service in the church that are often self-centered, forming factions and dishonor the authority of leaders, despising others’ good advice.

7. The Birth of Democracy and the Promotion of Militarism

The Greek spirit seeks to exalt self, thereby restricting the work of the Holy Spirit. This self-elevating mindset is expanding significantly. Domination by the Greek spirit stems from human pride. A culture centered on self is foundational to the Greek spirit, where individuals place themselves above God. This self-centered cultural influence led to the birth of democracy—a system unwilling to be guided by God and relying instead on human power.

The Roman legal system and authority were derived from the Greek spirit.

8. The Destruction of Love and Unity in Families

The Aegean Sea lies east of mainland Greece, the Ionian Sea to the west, and the Cretan and Mediterranean Seas to the south. Greece's coastline, stretching 13,676 kilometers (8,498 miles), is the longest in the Mediterranean Basin and the 11th longest in the world, with numerous islands.

The spirit of Leviathan, often active in coastal cities or areas with large bodies of water, is a water-based demonic force. It is a twisting spirit that distorts words and thoughts, thereby damaging relationships.

The Greek spirit fosters a mindset where everyone determines their own government. This influence can even be seen in churches, where people vote to overthrow pastors chosen and appointed by God.

When the gospel reached Greece, the Greek spirit began to infiltrate the core of the message.

This is evident when people began saying, "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Paul," introducing a spirit of division into the church of Jesus.

For the anointing to flow within a group, there must be unity under one "garment." Anointing flows from the person in authority downwards. Disciples can only receive the anointing of those they serve, and spiritual children can only inherit the anointing of their spiritual parents. The effectiveness of one’s ministry is greatly influenced by how much one serves faithfully and wholeheartedly.

Our spiritual parents or leaders may not be the most skilled, strong, or excellent in the world, yet they are the ones God has appointed for us.

Psalm 133:2 illustrates this by comparing it to the precious oil poured on Aaron's head, flowing down to his beard and robe.

Therefore, we must maintain a heart of submission and patience in all things. If there are disagreements with leaders, we should engage in sincere and constructive communication. We must avoid baseless accusations, suspicions, and doubts. Furthermore, we should never discuss leaders' issues in front of others, undermine their authority, or form factions to engage in politics that disrupt the unity of the team.

9. The Birth of Western Atheism

Pre-Socratic thinkers regarded religion as a human invention designed to intimidate others into accepting moral codes.

Atomists - sought to explain the world through pure materialism, avoiding spiritual or mystical elements.

Sophists - Gods were merely ancient conquerors worshipped by people, and that religious beliefs were

essentially continuations of long-lost kingdoms and regimes.

Epicureanism - He proposed that the soul was purely material and immortal. Even if gods existed, they were indifferent to humanity.

Repentance:

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17).

"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

The workings of the Holy Spirit are far beyond human comprehension. God’s Spirit cannot be understood through human reasoning or natural intellect. Our spirit operates at a higher dimension than our mind.

Thus, when attempting to understand the workings of the spiritual realm, the greatest obstacle is relying on the limited reasoning of the human mind.

Lord, forgive us for depending on our mind & logic instead of seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

10. The Hermeneutics of Hermes

Today, many biblical institutions are following the teachings of the Greek spirit. They teach theology using the spirit of Hermes to interpret scripture.

God’s Word is alive and powerful, bringing truth into the hearts of people. It cannot be constrained by a single specific method of interpretation, as that would limit the work of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Repentance For the Study of Hermeneutics of Hermes,

Hermeneutis is the study of God’s Word using human interpretations that seeks to receive God’s pure revelation. Forgive us Lord for using logic & human interpretation to seek to understand Your Word.

God’s Word is living and powerful, bringing truth into the heart, and it cannot be limited by a specific method of interpretation, or else it would restrict the work of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance For Human Reasoning and Philosophy

Ancient Greek philosophical thought has led us to interpret God's ways through rational reasoning, testing God with our unbelief.

Stop reasoning and instead receive from God.

Sample Prayer:

Lord, I confess that in my past education, I did not develop sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit or to hearing the voice of the Spirit. I repent before You, Lord, and thank You for equipping me.

Lord, I ask You to make me sensitive to my spiritual senses. I crucify all the Greek thinking that has grown within me because of my education, and I declare that all the fruits, branches, and roots of that education and upbringing are cut off and eradicated by the Holy Spirit's sword. I am a child of Zion.

In the name of Lord Jesus, I declare that the precious blood of God, the bread and cup of the Lord, and the Spirit of the Lord are upon me. I declare that the captives are set free, and I am released from the chains of ancient Greek rationalism, from the theological framework that tries to interpret God’s Word through knowledge alone. I renounce all teachings and books on hermeneutics and declare them null and void. Under the light of the Holy Spirit, I ask that my spiritual eyes may understand Your Word, and that Your sevenfold Spirit allows me to receive and understand divine revelation.

As I read the Bible, engage in spiritual practices, wait upon God, worship, praise, and write, I commit all of these to operate in the flow of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, I declare that my spiritual senses are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus, and I align with the Holy Spirit.

In making decisions and choices, I will follow the will of the Spirit, seeking first to hear and see spiritually, to be led by subtle divine prompts and to understand the spiritual puzzle.

Lord, I fully surrender all the decisions and actions from the past that did not align with the flow

of the Holy Spirit to my Beloved. Lord, You are the One worthy to open the scroll, the book of life, and to break the seven seals. All that I have done in the past, whether through rational thinking, fleshly direction, or emotional impulses that was not in alignment with the flow of the Holy Spirit. Lord, I ask You to anoint and cleanse these areas. I confess that I have not clearly seen Your light before, the light that shines and illuminates, and I ask for Your mercy.

Lord, I pray that You will keep my ears, eyes, mouth, heart, and hands connected to You throughout the day 24 hours, except when I sleep, so that I am always tuned into Your channel.

Yes, Lord, without You, I can do nothing. You are the great Shepherd of my life, and You will guide me on the path of life. In Your right hand, there is eternal joy. I pray that the Holy Spirit will powerfully draw me to You.

Thank You, Jesus. I declare that all things restricting the work of the Holy Spirit in my life will not prevent me from becoming holy. Protect me and hide me under the shadow of God’s mighty wings. May God's revelations, light, understanding, voice, images, visions, and wisdom from the three heavens come freely and connect with me. Let the spirit of Jehovah be in full flow with me.

Thank You, Jesus, for anointing my spiritual senses with Your precious blood, setting them apart as holy. The wisdom, knowledge, and strategies of man can no longer be used. I now rely solely on spiritual understanding. Lord, I ask You to shape me, that my intelligence, emotional intelligence, knowledge, and all abilities will come under the authority of my spiritual intelligence. Thank You, Jesus.

Lord, I also ask that You rescue my children, and that ancient Greek philosophy, the hermeneutics of Hermes, and academic knowledge do not have any effect on their education.

Lord, I pray that Your mighty hand will sanctify them, so that even if they read or study these things, they will have no interest in them. I ask You, Lord, to let the Holy Spirit manifest in their lives and become their Lord. I ask You to do supernatural things to change their minds, increasing their spiritual intelligence and diminishing their reliance on worldly wisdom.

Thank You, Jesus. I also pray, Lord, that You remove from me and my descendants the beliefs such as “knowledge changes destiny” and “knowledge creates miracles,” and pull up by the roots all the strongholds built by knowledge, causing them to become desolate and erased.

We will no longer be people who worship knowledge, but people who worship the Holy Spirit. May the Holy Spirit have complete authority over me and my children. Thank You, Jesus.

Lord, You have done great things, bringing my children out from under the control of the flesh, rationalism, philosophy, perfectionism, spiritual perception, immorality, Hermes, and the Greek spirit.

Holy Spirit, with great passion and integrity, defend Your sovereignty in my life. I am a living being with a spirit, a category that You, Father, established when You created the heavens and the earth. Now, I ask for the restoration of this glorious life identity.

Lord, the great work You completed on the sixth day is now restored by the precious blood of Your Son, Jesus. I do not belong to the flesh, to any worldly school of thought, any philosophy, or the doctrines of any gods or evil spirits. I belong to my God, whose name is Jehovah. My spiritual senses are fully opened and connected to Him above in the third heaven.

Thank You, Jesus, for covering me with the mighty power of Your precious blood, through which I hear the Lord's voice. I see what the Lord wants me to see, I feel what the Holy Spirit wants me to feel, I speak the prophecy that the Holy Spirit wants me to speak, and I download God's wisdom, knowledge, understanding, strategies, abilities, and the will of the Lord who fears Jehovah in my heart. Thank You, Jesus, for cutting off all the control of the flesh. You protect and increase my spiritual intelligence. All of the above prayers are sealed in the precious blood of Christ. In the holy name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

11. The Creation of Alchemy and Technology

Western alchemy originated during the Hellenistic period in Egypt, around the 1st century. A prominent figure in early alchemy was Hermes, who lived in the 3rd century and worked as a gemstone craftsman in Egypt. His contribution to alchemy was incorporating many of the techniques from metalworking and casting into alchemical practices. This means that all successors in "casting" or craftsmanship that followed were considered his disciples. For example, in the riot at Ephesus, Demetrius made silver shrines to the goddess Artemis and led the city to persecute Paul. This incident is recorded in Acts 19.

The "philosopher's stone" in alchemy was created from heavy metals like lead and mercury.

Mercury, named from the Latin Mercurius, was the Greek name for Hermes. Hermes, Mercury, and mercury all share the same symbol, characterized by confusion (Revelation 12:9), theft, murder, and destruction (John 10:10a).

12. The Focus on Eloquence, the Pursuit of Performance, and Prosperity Theology (Hermes' Eloquence and Commerce)

In the 21st century, eloquence has become one of the most valued abilities in churches. People tend to elevate the most eloquent prophets and speakers. When we observe the competition between different ways of thinking and reasoning, we see the operation of the Greek spirit. The focus shifts from the essence of the message to the eloquence of the speaker.

In the gospel and in God's kingdom, God desires that our attention be placed on the core of the message, not on the speaker's skills. In certain situations, even a donkey can deliver a message from the Lord to a prophet. This illustrates God's mockery of the Greek spirit. It is only the anointing of the Holy Spirit that can truly reach the depths of the human heart and transform our thoughts and intentions.

Repentance for Reliance on Technology, Knowledge and Methods

Believing that technology can change the world and humanity, and that knowledge can make one powerful. And believing that one can solve their problems by relying on human methods and strategies requires repentance.

Forgive us Lord. No modern invention or technology can ever replace You & Your place in our lives.

Repentance for Reliance on Alchemy

We need to repent for the harm to the human body of products related to alchemy that we have used such as cosmetics, medicines, perfumes, magnet therapy, negative ions, energy stones, crystals worn, etc.

Our dependence and strength come from the Holy Spirit, for only God's Spirit

can accomplish things!

Repentance For Focus on eloquence, pursuit of performance, prosperity theology:

We repent for chasing after a famous church’s leaders, evangelist, or desiring their gifts and talents, and for attending special events and spiritual experiences in pursuit of specific spiritual gifts. Forgive us for looking at the wrong source of blessing. It’s all in You……

13. Paul’s Influence by the Greek Spirit

Acts 17:16 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols.

Acts 17:17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with both Jews and God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there.

Here, we can observe that idol worship is always connected to the Greek spirit.

We never see Jesus debating or discussing matters of God with anyone. This is a manifestation of being influenced by the Greek spirit. Even though Paul had such great anointing, when he entered areas dominated by the Greek spirit, he began debating with people in the Jewish synagogues.

Acts 17:18 A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to debate with him. Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others remarked, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.

Repentance For Using Human Gifts and Talents for doing God’s Work:

We repent for using own gifts and talents to spread the gospel and getting into debates and disputes with others in the process like apostle Paul did.

Help us to rely on the Holy Spirit’s leading at all times & in all circumstances.

14. Introduction of Drama and Masks (The Spirit of Dionysus)

Greek theatre introduced drama which is influenced by the spirit of Dionysus. It is what we call dramatic art which is rooted in the Greek word for "actor," which means "hypocrite." The actors perform while wearing masks.

All of this has influenced our society, leading us away from the true, beautiful essence of things. It fosters a sense of shame, making it difficult to open up authentically, for fear of being hurt. We wear masks in our interactions with others, and even with God, deceiving ourselves and pretending to be good. This is also the manifestation of the Pharisees and the religious spirit.

Repentance Prayer

Lord, forgive us for putting on masks in our daily life, deceiving ourselves of the reality of who we are in You. Help us find our true identity in You.

15. Introduction of Genetically Modified Foods and Medicine (The God of Medicine, Asclepius)

Another Greek spirit that attempts to destroy our bodies is "Pharmakeia," which means "witchcraft" or "magic." The English word "pharmacy" is derived from the Greek word "Pharmakeia." The pharmaceutical industry originated from alchemy inherited from Egypt.
