The Spirit Of Inferiority
The Spirit of Low Self-esteem – Hepher (Well; Pit of
Shame):
This evil spirit will constantly accuse people, causing
them to fall into the pit of inferiority, self-condemnation and shame, unable
to extricate themselves.
Concept:
Inferiority Complex refers to a person who has a strong
sense of inadequacy or insecurity, which affects a person's overall
adaptability. The so-called strong sense of inadequacy refers to the evaluation
of one's own abilities or conditions, and it is obvious that one feels that
there are many deficiencies. The so-called insecurity is the panic caused by
one's serious sense of inadequacy in life adaptation, and often feels that one
is being blamed or violated.
Inferiority complex also comes from accepting things that
the world cares about, such as outward appearance, IQ, financial status, etc.
Such worldly values lead to many behaviors and emotions that are inconsistent
with biblical truth. Such incorrect emotions are inferiority complex.
Main manifestations:
1. Sensitive
Overly sensitive and have a strong sense of inferiority.
People in the vulnerable group want to be valued by others, but are afraid of
being ignored. They place too much emphasis on others’ evaluation of
themselves. Any negative evaluation will lead to intense inner conflicts, and
they may even distort others’ evaluations. For example, they may distort
others’ sincere praise and think it is sarcasm. They are very sensitive, and
you need to be careful when interacting with such people, because a casual word
from others will cause the other party to have inner turmoil and start make
random guesses.
2. Imbalance
Due to various reasons, they are in a disadvantaged
position and cannot see their own value in society, and may even be rejected by
others. They often lose their self-worth experience in life, causing an
imbalance in their mentality, falling into a vicious psychological experience,
unable to get out of the shadow, and it is difficult to get rid of the real
predicament. Usually, people with low self-esteem will identify with their
disadvantaged identity very much, and this strong inferiority complex will also
lead to suicidal behavior.
3. Emotional
An inferiority complex can make a person appear to be
submissive, but excessive repression can accumulate energy that can explode at
any time. Due to a lack of coping skills, life events such as unemployment,
divorce, and illness can easily lead to inferiority complex. When treated
unfairly, people will feel that they are being despised by others, which is
unbearable, and they often act aggressively.
Causes of low self-esteem:
1. Accept the world’s perspective and live in the eyes of
others.
- External
appearance refers to a person's appearance.
In the world's perception, if a person is beautiful, then
that person has high value, otherwise he or she has little value. However, the
truth of the Bible teaches us that a person's value does not depend on his or
her appearance. Moreover, God sees each person differently.
But
the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at
his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as
man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but
the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)
- IQ
People in the world believe that a person's value is
directly related to his IQ, but this is a lie of the enemy. A person's value
does not come from whether he is smart or not. When the Lord Jesus was choosing
his disciples, he did not choose the ones with the highest IQ or the most
capable ones. Instead, he chose ordinary people who could not be more ordinary.
For yourselves consider your calling, brethren, that not
many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
(1 Corinthians 1:26)
- Financial
Status
Money is an important criterion for evaluating a person
in the world. Being rich represents success and represents a person's value.
This is also a trick of the enemy to deceive people, causing materialism to run
rampant in the world. However, the Bible teaches us:
For one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the
things he possesses. (Luke 12:15b)
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and
a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown
men in destruction and perdition. (1 Timothy 6:9)
Now godliness with contentment is great gain, (1
Timothy 6:6)
For we brought nothing into this world, and
it is certain we can carry nothing out. (1 Timothy 6:7)
And having food and clothing, with these we shall
be content. (1 Timothy 6:8)
2. Unprocessed frustrating experiences in our childhood
upbringing.
There are many frustrating experiences in a person's
growth and background. If these experiences are not dealt with in a timely
manner, it will make a person feel unworthy of praise, unworthy of receiving
gifts from others, unworthy of love, etc., and even in serious cases, he or she
will develop an unwarranted sense of guilt towards himself or herself.
In the Bible, Peter is a good example. When Peter denied
the Lord three times, he went back to fishing again after Jesus was crucified.
When Jesus resurrected from the dead and appeared to the seven disciples, he
saw Peter's "unworthy" mentality, encouraged him, asked Peter three
times about his love for the Lord, and called Peter back to feed the Lord's
sheep.
3. Often comparing oneself with people around, which
leads to a mentality that is not in line with reality or pretending to be good,
which is actually to cover up one's own inferiority complex.
The story of Esau and Jacob is recorded in Genesis 25:
So the boys grew. And Esau was a skillful hunter, a
man of the field; but Jacob was a [a]mild man, dwelling in
tents. 28 And Isaac loved Esau because
he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
(Genesis 25:27-28)
Jacob faced his inferiority complex since childhood with
an unrealistic mentality. His mother Rebekah conspired with him to use
deception to satisfy her own sense of superiority and thus cover up her
inferiority complex. When Esau learned that his title as the eldest son was
taken away by Jacob, he became angry and hateful, and wanted to harm Jacob to
cover up his inferiority complex facing his family and servants in the second
half of his life.
Cut off and break:
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I resist the spirit
of inferiority from entering my body and life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I reject all things and
situations that may bring a spirit of inferiority into my life, such as my
appearance, my body shape, my marriage, my studies, my job, etc. In the name of
Jesus Christ, I destroy the negative influence these situations have brought to
me.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke and bind every
thought that is occupying my mind, my thoughts, the inferiority complex in my
heart, and the dark powers behind it. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the
fire of the Holy Spirit burns them up and consumes them.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I refuse to allow feelings
of inferiority and the dark forces behind them to enter my life, and I resist
all thoughts, words, and actions that are not in line with God's will brought about
by inferiority complex. I eradicate their roots in the name of the Lord Jesus.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the flames of the Lord
consume the influence of events that have brought the power of low self-esteem
into my life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I release any spirit of
inferiority in myself and my family that tries to make us feel inferior, weak,
and unable to hold our heads up from my body and life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I refuse to accept any
negative words and messages that can bring the power of inferiority into my
life, as well as all kinds of evil words, criticisms, judgments and
accusations. I destroy and eradicate them in the name of Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I destroy and uproot the
evil spirits and the powers behind them that have bound me in my life and made
me feel inferior, as well as my inferiority complex in front of my superiors,
leaders, and other authority figures. In the name of Jesus Christ, I completely
uproot these spirits of inferiority and completely uproot and destroy them.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I refuse and resist all
comparisons with others in my life; I rebuke all thoughts of comparison and
competition in my mind. In the name of Jesus Christ, I take up the sword of the
Holy Spirit and cut off all the links of inferiority complex that are not in
line with God's will caused by comparison, and completely disconnect, break,
and destroy them in the name of the Lord.
In the name of Jesus Christ, may the complete precious
blood of the Lord Jesus cover the inferiority complex in my life caused by past
setbacks. May the precious blood cleanse my wounds, and may the love of the
Lord Jesus heal me.
In the name of Jesus Christ, past setbacks, past
"unworthiness" and other negative feelings can no longer have any
influence on me, the love of the Lord surrounds me. Lord, please remove the
inferiority complex caused by past failures and injuries in me, and the love,
grace and mercy of the Lord will personally bind up my wounds and help me to
restore the way God created me in the beginning.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that the spirit of
inferiority and the power behind it will completely leave my body and life. I
completely belong to Christ. God is the God who makes me lift my head. Thank
and praise the Lord.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the precious blood of the
Lord Jesus covers my financial situation and protects my supply. All the
inferiority complex caused by my financial situation must be completely wiped
out and cleansed in the name of the Lord Jesus. The blazing fire of the Holy
Spirit burns away all such dark powers of inferiority and the forces behind
them. In the name of the Lord, they must be completely uprooted and destroyed.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the precious blood of the
Lord Jesus covers me and my family completely, my home, my marriage, my
property, my interpersonal relationships, my health, my service, and every
aspect of my life, so that I will no longer be controlled and bound by
inferiority complex in every aspect of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ,
all these connections that are not in accordance with God's will must be
completely severed.
Prayer of Blessing:
Declare from the scriptures:
In this
you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you
have been [a]grieved by various trials, 7 that the
genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold
that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise,
honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:6-7)
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no
might He increases strength. (Isaiah 40:29)
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right
hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ (Isaiah 41:13)
I declare in the name of Jesus Christ that I have great
joy in Jesus Christ, and I will not be sad even in trials, because my Lord is
determined to help me overcome all difficult circumstances so that I can obtain
honor and glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that the Lord sees
me as honorable, my God is my strength, my protection, and my shield. The Lord
is all my supply, help, and protection, and I will not lack anything.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that my Lord and
my God cares for me. He cares for everything about me, including my needs, my feelings, my
health, my finances, and my relationships. In the name of Jesus Christ, I
declare that God has given me glory and honor as a crown, and has appointed me
to manage all that He has created, so that all things are under my feet.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that any weapon
used to attack me and make me feel inferior will not be used.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I will no
longer live in the eyes of others, nor in the evaluations of others. In the
name of Jesus Christ, I refuse to accept the inferiority complex brought to me
by the attitudes, words and deeds of worldly people.
In the name of the Lord, the cross of the Lord Jesus
stands between me and these words and actions, and the blood of the Lord Jesus
draws the line. No dark force can harm me through the words, vision, attitude,
and behavior of man, nor can it bring me a negative influence, nor can it make
me behave in a lowly manner. I completely belong to Christ. The blood of Jesus
has redeemed me, and all dark forces, evil spirits, and demons no longer have
any power to stay in my body and life.
In the name of the Lord, I rebuke all your schemes and
works, and command you to leave me and my family immediately, leave quietly, go
to where Jesus calls you, and never come back. In the victorious name of the
Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am the
noble prince/princess of the Kingdom of Heaven. I was wonderfully created. I
grew up in the love and grace of the Lord, inherited the inheritance of God the
Father, governs over all things, and governs the Kingdom of God.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that my identity
is so noble that no one can offend me. The Lord makes me hold my head high. In
the name of the Lord, my eyes are fixed only on the kingdom of my Father God. I
only look up to the one true God who is the creator and the end. My eyes only
look forward to eternal life. Nothing on earth can affect me or cause any
negative harm to me.
He knew me before I was born and chose me as His beloved son /daughter. I am
unique, God's creation, and the work of God’s hand. I am the most beautiful. No
matter how the world views me, I don't care. I only know that I am the most
beautiful in the eyes of the Heavenly Father, I am His favorite, and I am the apple of
God's eye.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I will not
feel inferior because of any shortage, because my Abba Father, the only true
God of the universe has made up for all my deficiencies. With the Lord’s
presence, I will not lack anything.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am God's
chosen royal priest and holy people. My identity is so noble and glorious. In
the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I live out the glory of God and live
out the identity of a prince/princess of the Kingdom of God.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that the Lord
Jesus is my solid shield and my eternal protection. The Lord Jesus is the God
who allows me to lift my head up. His love surrounds me and keeps me from being ashamed. Lord, You are
everything to me and all that I have. Jesus is my help and encouragement at all
times.
